Why You'll Love It

Your skin longevity routine.

As skin ages, it loses the lipids, moisture and structural proteins that keep it looking firm and smooth. This three-step starter kit is built to put them back. A mini cleanser, full-size moisturiser and peptide booster work together to reduce the appearance of fine lines, restore plumpness and leave sensitive skin feeling genuinely calm.

Salvation Jane moisturiser does the heavy lifting with omega-rich oils (including rare echium seed oil for both omega-3 and omega-6) plus ectoin, which has been clinically shown to improve hydration and elasticity. Drop in the Peptides 5% booster and you've got a targeted anti-ageing treatment, with Hexapeptide-11 shown to support improved elasticity in just four weeks.

The best bit? None of these actives cause inflammaging, purging or photosensitivity. So if retinol has been too much for your skin, this is the routine that actually works with it, not against it. Every product in the kit has been 96-hour patch tested on sensitive skin with zero irritation.

Directions

Evening
Start with Middlemist Seven. Massage a small amount into dry skin, then dampen your muslin cloth and gently remove. Your skin should feel soft and nourished, never stripped.

Morning
Take 1-2 pumps of Salvation Jane and drop 1-2 drops of Peptides 5% straight into it. Mix in your palms, then massage into your face and neck. The booster was literally designed to be paired with this moisturiser, so they play very nicely together.

You can also use Salvation Jane and Peptides 5% in the evening after cleansing. Twice-daily use means twice the peptide power for collagen and elasticity.

Recycling

Say no to landfill! Let's recycle everything! - Sarah

This kit contains three products with different recycling needs. Here's how to handle each one:

Middlemist Seven Cleanser (50ml mini)
Cut the tube partway along the top, below the crimp, so you can rinse it out. Please do not cut it off completely. Leave the cap on and send it back to us in your Pai mailer.

Salvation Jane Moisturiser
Once all the product has been dispensed, unscrew the pump from the bottle to separate the pump, cap and pouch from the glass bottle. Place the glass bottle into your household recycling and place the pump, cap and pouch into your Pai mailer for delivery back to us.

Peptides 5% Booster
Unscrew the dropper and remove from the bottle. Gently pull the glass pipette out of the dropper. After rinsing, place the glass bottle and pipette into household recycling. Place the dropper and rubber bulb into your Pai mailer for return delivery to us.

All Pai boxes, cartons, sleeves and inserts can be recycled with your household paper recycling.

The majority of your Pai packaging can be recycled at home, but some components need specialist recycling. We've partnered with a specialist programme to make this as easy as possible for our UK customers.

Keep your Pai mailer box (it can be flat packed for easy storage). Fill it with the packaging elements you can't recycle at home, and clearly label the box RECYCLING. Create your free returns label and drop it off at the post office.

Please note we are unable to accept glass or non-Pai packaging. Glass bottles can be separated and placed into your household recycling.

If you are in the UK and unsure what your local services accept, visit recyclenow.com.

Key Ingredients

  • Camellia

A prized oil from the seeds of the Camellia flower. Rich in Omega 6 and polyphenol antioxidants, it leaves skin moist and supple. And never stripped.

  • Echium

Echium – or Viper’s Bugloss – contains powerful forms of Omegas 3 & 6 (Gamma Linolenic Acid and Stearidonic Acid). We include them because of their prowess at smoothing the skin and improving the appearance of fine lines.

  • Peptides

If plump, bouncy, youthful skin is your goal, this one’s for you. Peptides are clever amino acids best known for stimulating collagen and elastin - meaning fewer lines and firmer skin. Ours is all-natural: yeast-derived Hexapeptide joins the humble yet hardworking Pea Peptide, rich in lysine to support healthy skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in the Age Confidence Starter Kit?

You get three products: a 50ml travel-size Middlemist Seven Gentle Cream Cleanser, a full-size 50ml Salvation Jane Omega Rich Moisturiser, and a full-size 10ml Peptides 5% Smoothing Booster. It's a complete cleanse, moisturise, and boost routine designed to work as a system for mature, sensitive skin.

Who is this kit best suited for?

It's built for mature skin that's also sensitive or reactive. If you've found retinol or AHA routines too irritating, this is a gentler alternative. The entire kit is 96-hour patch tested on sensitive skin, so it's a solid option if your skin tends to flare up with active-heavy products.

How do I use the three products together?

In the evening, massage Middlemist Seven into dry skin and remove with a damp muslin cloth. In the morning, take 1-2 pumps of Salvation Jane, drop 1-2 drops of Peptides 5% directly into it, mix in your palms, and press into your face and neck. The booster is designed to be blended into the moisturiser rather than applied separately, so the peptides integrate into the omega-rich base for better absorption.

Why is the cleanser a travel size rather than full size?

The travel-size Middlemist Seven lets you try the texture and feel before committing to a full-size bottle. It's generous enough to last several weeks, giving you a proper sense of how the oil-rich cream formula works with your skin.

What results can I expect, and how soon?

Skin should feel more hydrated and plumper within the first week or two. Firming and smoothing benefits build over the first month. Hexapeptide-11 in the Peptides 5% booster has peer-reviewed evidence showing improved elasticity in 4 weeks of consistent use.

Can I use this kit alongside other actives like retinol or vitamin C?

You can, though many customers choose this kit precisely because it delivers anti-ageing results without the irritation those actives can cause. If you do want to combine, use your retinol or vitamin C at a different time of day and monitor how your skin responds. The kit's omega-rich, barrier-supporting formula can actually help buffer skin that's been sensitised by stronger actives.

Is the Age Confidence Starter Kit safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Yes. All three products are pregnancy and breastfeeding safe. The kit is also free from alcohol, parabens, silicones, sulfates, mineral oil, phthalates, PEGs, and SLS.

What certifications does the kit carry?

The cleanser and moisturiser are both COSMOS Organic certified, while the Peptides 5% booster is COSMOS Natural certified. All three are vegan, Leaping Bunny cruelty-free, dermatologist tested and approved, non-comedogenic, and independently patch tested on sensitive skin.

What does ectoin do in Salvation Jane, and why is it better suited to sensitive skin than retinol?

Ectoin is an extremolyte, a molecule produced by microorganisms to survive harsh environments, and it works by forming a protective hydration shield around skin cells to reduce environmental stress damage. In a 104-subject randomised controlled trial, it was shown to improve hydration, elasticity, and wrinkle depth. Unlike retinol, it doesn't cause purging, peeling, or photosensitivity, making it a genuinely effective anti-ageing active that reactive skin can tolerate.

Why does the kit pair Salvation Jane with Peptides 5% specifically?

They tackle ageing from complementary angles. Salvation Jane replenishes the lipids and moisture that mature skin loses over time, while Peptides 5% delivers Hexapeptide-11 to signal collagen and elastin production and pea peptide to supply the amino acid building blocks for it. Pai's own chemists formulated the booster to be mixed directly into this moisturiser.

What makes this kit different from other anti-ageing starter sets?

Most anti-ageing routines lean on retinoids or acids that can cause purging, peeling, or photosensitivity. This kit works by replenishing what ageing skin has actually lost: lipids via CO2-extracted echium oil (a rare dual omega-3 and omega-6 source) and palmitoleic acid from macadamia oil, an omega-7 that naturally declines with age. Every product scored zero irritation in 96-hour patch testing on eczema-prone and sensitive skin.
